Product Owner

For the DPG Media IT organisation, we’re looking for a talented Product Owner for the Customer Services Area. Our Customer Services Area, consisting of four IT-teams, creates an environment for relieving the customer with fast, flawless (digital) services and supports our efficient customer services organisation. Our service makes impact to millions of readers within The Netherlands and Belgium. Within DPG media the PO : 

  • Works closely with the Chief PO. Together they will form the Product Management team. 
  • Creates and drives area product vision and priorities towards business and squads.
  • Ensures alignment on roadmap and priorities based on business value, coordinates this with all business units and IT
  • Direct collaboration between end users, subject matter experts and development teams, building the best product together
  • Ensures the translation of an area roadmap to one 1 area product backlog

Customer-centricity, teamwork, taking initiative and having an agile mindset are important to us. You will work with our teams in a scaled Agile, Scrum, You build it, You run it (DevOps) environment. Although we usually write in English, fluent understanding and speaking in Dutch is required 

Your key strengths

  • You are business-driven, team-oriented, curious, open-minded and eager to learn
  • You know the challenges in stakeholder management, know how to build good relations and are a strong and clear communicator.
  • Experienced in story writing, story slicing, product mapping and story mapping
  • Have an Agile mindset and are experienced in Scrum or other agile/lean methodologies
  • You easily explain and efficiently solve complex problems
  • Strong communicator; you understand the surplus value of open communication and love to take on an advisory role
  • You are passionate about analyses and are a proactive and out-of-the-box thinker
  • You naturally aim for continuous improvement and better quality and think short delivery deadlines and value delivery are self-evident
  • Willingness to travel to Antwerp from time to time (as some other teams are situated there)
  • Bonus for knowledge or experience in Customer Care processes / CRM.
